When you think of a ski mountain, I can bet that weddings aren’t the first thing that come to mind. But tucked away in the Central Adirondacks- McCauley Mountain was the picture perfect venue for H and D’s summer wedding. They share a passion for The Adirondacks and all things adventure so riding the chairlift to the top for their ceremony was very fitting.
From the decorations in the lodge to their custom made cookie favors, every single details was curated to tell their love story. Instead of using table numbers- they used the names of locations in The Adirondack’s that held some of their most cherished memories! It was a vision to say the least.
They had a beautiful ceremony with an epic view before everyone took the chairlift back down the mountain. After dinner, the sunset was picture perfect so we found a field of wild golden rod. We cozied up in them for some really romantic golden hour portraits. Then it was back to the lodge for dessert and dancing.
Every couple and every love story is so different. So beautiful. And one of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is seeing how every couple tells that love story. This one was a gem, thats for sure!
So if you are looking to get married in an out of the box venue, ski resorts could totally be the perfect place for you! Adventure lovers who want to capture their love in the high peaks, a mountain top wedding is highly recommended!
