"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive: and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."
- Maya Angelou
Sydney was born in Massachusetts but spent her early childhood in Saratoga Springs, NY. A gorgeous horse-racing town filled with magazine-worthy spots every where you turn. She was transplanted into New Hampshire living as a young adult and instantly fell in love with the versatility of New England. Oceans and beaches, city life, lush mountains. Take your pick. Syd attended college at The University of Rhode Island, where she studied fashion merchandising and marketing. After two years of school, she found herself back in the town she always called home, Saratoga Springs- where she met the love of her life, started a family and finally discovered what she wanted to be when she grew up.... a photographer. And the rest is history!
Sydney fell in love with photography as soon as she picked up that very first DSLR and soon discovered the potential for her hobby to fuel the fire within her soul. And if you know Syd at all... you know that she does nothing in life half-heartedly... All in or nothing at all. Her business launched in October 2020, opened a photography studio in Salem, NY in February 2021 (where she calls home now) and since then she has helped capture the precious memories of over 100 clients (now friends). As her business continues to grow, her heart bursts with gratitude for the support of her friends and family as well as each and every client she has met!
When you look at a this photo- you can almost hear the giggles coming from that big smile. Being able to make my clients feel comfortable, have fun and LAUGH during their session with me is just the best feeling in the world, and one of my favorite things to capture.
The smallest parts of you can make the biggest memories. Capturing those little fingers and toes, or the finest details of your wedding day, or the little bit of sparkle that you see in your partner's eyes is one of my favorite things.
I started shooting boudoir as soon as I opened my studio and I still get chills when I see women from every walk of life fall in love with their body. Self love is something that I have struggled with personally and it wasn't until I started helping other women feel confident in their own skin, that I stepped into my own confidence.
I think one of my favorite things to capture is the love between two people, which is why I started photographing weddings and elopements. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart and it makes my whole soul happy to be able to portray that in my clients' most important memories.
